Senior Magento Developer

Purpose of the Role

The Senior Magento Developer will join a top digital talent team to develop and maintain high traffic eCommerce shops for established businesses at a growing phase in the US market. While working to  implement latest technologies and create cutting edge solutions, the new colleague will cover both front-end and back-end development.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Develop new custom web applications built using Magento
• Write new and extend existing features
• Investigate, analyze and fix reported bugs
• Implement eCommerce best practices
• Be part of the team and follow Agile methodology

Required Experience & Knowledge

Essential

• Strong Object Oriented PHP development background
• Experience building front-end for online shops with technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript
• Experience with Magento 2 and architectural/design patterns
• Good understanding of Magento functionality and capabilities
• Experience working with SQL databases
• Working knowledge of Version Control Software (Git, SVN)

Advantage

• Knowledge of optimization, scaling and caching techniques
• Experience with Varnish and AWS are a big plus
• Any other e-commerce tools experience is welcome: Shopify, BigCommerce, Prestashop, WooCommerce etc

Required Education & Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer science or hands-on background in e-commerce industry
• Excellent English communication skills – written and oral
