Job Description

What You'll be Doing:

  • You'll be supporting our Buffer Publish product, building new product features, and furthering our work with component-driven architecture and accessibility.
  • Our front-end product is transitioning to a fully-open sourced client built with React with Redux, from a monolithic product built in Backbone.js and React. You’ll be helping us with this exciting transition. Currently, this is live to a small proportion of users.
  • You will work within our product engineering teams, collaborating with product managers, designers, customer advocates, engineering managers and more using tools like GitHub, Zoom, email, Discourse, Slack and Jira.
  • As you gain context, you’ll provide technical guidance to teammates as a peer or as a lead, depending on your experience and interests.

Helpful Skills and Experience

  • You have experience as a front-end or full-stack developer delivering beautiful, accessible products to users
  • You have experience with client-side Javascript and any frontend frameworks. Experience working with React and Redux would be helpful but isn’t required.
  • Experience (or interest) with web accessibility would be helpful. This role does have a focus on accessibility.
  • You have an eye for design and can deliver that final polish to a product
